Lubricant alternatives
Can I use natural lubricant as a lubricant?
Yes, natural lubricants, such as our 100% natural variety, are specially designed for intimate use and can be used safely and effectively as a lubricant. These products are usually water-based and contain ingredients that respect the body's pH balance and do not cause irritation.
Can I use petroleum jelly as a lubricant?
While some people have used petroleum jelly as a lubricant, it is usually not recommended due to potential problems such as condom incompatibility, risk of infection, and long-term effect. For safe and effective use, it is better to choose a lubricant specially designed for intimate use.
Can I use shampoo as a lubricant?
Shampoo is strongly discouraged as a lubricant. Shampoo is not designed for intimate use and can irritate sensitive skin and upset the vaginal pH balance, which can lead to infections.
Can I use massage oil as a lubricant?
Some massage oils can act as a lubricant, but caution is advised. The Aia* massage oil is not suitable as a lubricant. Check the ingredients, avoid fragrances and test the oil on a small area of skin to avoid sensitivity reactions. Ensure that the oil chosen is safe for use with condoms and consider the possibility of skin irritation and disruption of vaginal pH balance.
Can I use sunflower oil as a lubricant?
Sunflower oil is not recommended as a lubricant, mainly because of possible condom incompatibility, potential for skin irritation and disruption of vaginal health. For safe and comfortable use, it is better to opt for lubricants specifically designed for intimate use.
Can I use coconut oil as a lubricant?
Coconut oil is sometimes used as a natural lubricant, but note a few considerations. While it may feel slippery, coconut oil can reduce condom compatibility and upset pH balance, which can increase the risk of infection. Alternatively, you can opt for lubricants specially designed for intimate use.
Sexting
What is Sexting?
Sexting is the exchange of sexy photos, videos and/or messages via your mobile phone, tablet or computer. This is always done in confidence and can be naked or partially naked. In most cases, online sexual behavior is fun and normal and can contribute to an enjoyable sexual relationship. Sexting can be a fun addition to your sexual life.
It is important to do it in a respectful manner. Before you send a sexy photo or movie, check with the other person if this is okay.
How do you do sexting?
While sexting is a personal choice and there are no hard and fast rules, here are some general tips you can follow to make sexting more fun and safe:
1. Use creative language: Use creative language to express your desires and fantasies. You can tell erotic stories, make flirty comments or even just use soft words to build the excitement.
2. Explore different positions and scenarios: Talk about different positions and scenarios you want to try during sex. This can help bring your fantasies to life and increase excitement.
3. Send sensual photos: Send sensual photos of yourself to increase excitement. To protect your privacy, make sure you don't show any personal information or face.
4. Take your time: Sexting is a slow process. Take the time to get to know each other and slowly build up the excitement.
Unwanted sexting
In the case of unwanted sexting, sexy photos and videos are forwarded without the consent of the person depicted. This can also happen when someone sends an unsolicited sexy photo or video of themselves. As with physical sex, online consent is key. Distributing sexually tinted images without permission is a form of sexually transgressive behavior and punishable by law. Online bullying, such as hurting, insulting or ridiculing someone, can also be punished. If you have experienced sexual misconduct, you can get help. Here you will find more information about where to go. We're here for you.
Sexuality
Asexual
Asexual people do not experience sexual attraction in a traditional manner. Unlike celibate living, which is a lifestyle choice, asexuality is an intrinsic aspect of someone's sexual identity. However, there is a great deal of diversity among asexual individuals in how they experience relationships, attraction, and excitement; it's common for asexual people to still seek romantic and emotional connections.
Androgynosexual
People who are androgynosexual experience sexual, romantic, and/or emotional attraction to individuals with both male and female characteristics.
Androphilic
"Androsexual" individuals primarily feel sexual, romantic, and/or aesthetic attraction towards masculinity (but not necessarily exclusively towards men). The term is often used by genderqueer individuals rather than heterosexual or homosexual individuals.
Aromantic
Aromantic individuals do not experience traditional romantic attraction, although they can still experience sexual attraction.
Autosexual
Autosexual refers to a person who is sexually attracted to and aroused by their own body. However, engaging in masturbation does not automatically categorize a person as autosexual (just as having sex does not automatically label a person as heterosexual or homosexual).
Bi-curious
People who are bi-curious are interested in exploring their attraction to individuals of the same gender as well as individuals of a different gender.
Bisexual
Bisexual individuals experience sexual, romantic, and/or emotional attraction to people of both the same gender and a different gender. People may experience this attraction in various ways and to varying degrees throughout their lives.
Demisexual
Similar to the concept of demiromanticism, demisexual individuals are those who do not experience sexual attraction towards another person unless they have formed a strong emotional bond.
GrayA
"Gray-A" or "Gray-Ace" (Gray-Asexual) refers to individuals who identify as being on the asexuality spectrum, experiencing a level of sexual attraction that is not strictly absent but falls somewhere between asexuality and full sexual attraction. Gray-A individuals might experience occasional or limited sexual attraction, or they might experience it only under certain circumstances. The "gray" in the term reflects this middle ground between asexuality and allosexuality (experiencing sexual attraction regularly).
Heterosexual
Heterosexual individuals experience sexual, romantic, and/or emotional attraction towards a person of the opposite (binary) gender, meaning women are attracted to men, or men are attracted to women.
Heteroflexible
Heteroflexible individuals primarily feel sexually and/or romantically attracted to genders different from their own, but they are also open to sexual and/or romantic interactions with people of the same gender. The term often refers to people who are predominantly heterosexual but occasionally experience sexual attraction to (or curiosity about exploring) members of the same sex.
Homoflexible
Similar to heterosexual individuals, homoflexible individuals primarily feel attracted to people of their own gender, but they are open to sexual and/or romantic interactions with people of a different gender.
Lesbian
Lesbian refers to women who are sexually, romantically, and/or emotionally attracted to other women. Some non-binary individuals may also identify with this term.
Object sexuality
Object sexuality or objectophilia is a form of sexual and/or romantic attraction that is directed towards specific inanimate objects.
Omnisexuality
Omnisexuality is characterized by sexual desire and/or attraction that is not limited to people of a specific gender identity or sexual orientation.
Pansexual
A person who is attracted to other people regardless of their gender identity.
Queer
Queer is a term used by people who reject specific labels for sexual and romantic orientation and/or gender identity. Originally a slur, it's now a term of expression that encompasses a wide range of identities and behaviors. It's a term often laden with political meaning and signifies a rejection of traditional norms (similar to 'genderqueer' mentioned above).
Skoliosexual
Skoliosexual individuals are primarily sexually, romantically, and/or aesthetically attracted to genderqueer, transgender, and/or non-binary people. Note: This term is controversial. While some genderqueer and non-binary people use it to find like-minded individuals, others see it as fetishizing and othering. Therefore, we kindly ask our cisgender members not to use this sexuality label. We want to be transparent and approachable.

Positions
Introduction: 'Stands, how do you do that?'
Positions are positions during sex. There are many different positions you can try with your partner(s). What you like doesn't have to be the same as for those you have sex with; you can discover together what suits you during sex. Here are some examples for inspiration.
Missionary, how do you do that?
The missionary position is a common position during sex. It works like this: the one who penetrates is on top and the other is below. This position can be performed with a strap-on (strap-on dildo or vibrator) or with your own penis.
Variations
One way to get deeper into the vagina or anus is to pull up the legs of the person underneath. You can wrap these around your partner's back or put your feet or one leg over their shoulders. This position can be performed both vaginally and anally.
Trio, how do you do that?
A threesome is when three people have sex at the same time. This can happen in different ways, such as three singles together or a couple with an extra person. It is also possible to have sex with more than two people at the same time.
Here are some tips to make the experience more enjoyable:
1. Discuss your wishes and limits in advance. It's important to be open and honest about what you do and don't want to do so that both of you are comfortable during the experience.
2. Clean any toys when they change receivers. This is not only hygienic, but also respectful to your partner.
3. Be kind and respectful to each other. Make sure your partner is comfortable and that you both enjoy the experience.
4. Be transparent about your intentions and expectations. If you're just looking for a casual meeting, say so in advance. If you're looking for something more serious, be clear about that too.
5. Being approachable is important. Make sure you are open to communication and that you are willing to listen to your partner's wants and needs. This will make the experience more enjoyable for both of you.
Doggy, how do you do that?
In the doggy style position, one person sits on hands and knees while the pelvis is tilted. The other person is kneeling behind them. This position offers both anal and vaginal penetration, depending on your preference. Feel free to experiment and find what is most enjoyable for you.
Stimulation tips
A nice tip for extra stimulation is to massage your partner's nipples while you sit in front of them. You can also stimulate your own clitoris or penis, or ask your partner to do it for you while you sit behind them. It can be a great way to increase the excitement and make the experience even more intense.
Variations
- There are several ways to create more friction during sex between two people. One option is for the rear person to place their legs outside the front person's legs. This creates more friction between the penis and vagina. Another option is to crouch instead of kneeling, which allows the back person to go deeper into the front person.
- Another variation is that the front person lies on their stomach, while the back person lies flat on top of the front person with their penis or strap-on in the other person's vagina or anus. If the bottom person puts a pillow under their belly, the pelvis rises and the vagina or anus is more accessible.
- This position can also be performed while sitting, with the front person crouching and the rear person entering with the penis or strap-on. So there are different ways to vary during sex and discover what is most pleasurable for both partners.
Amazon, how do you do that?
The Amazon pose is a sexual position in which one person is supine and the other is on top, with each leg to one side. During this position, a penis or strap-on can be used, which can be inserted into the vagina as well as into the anus.
Variations
- There are several variations possible with this position. For example, the person on top can crouch instead of on their knees, allowing the penis or strap-on to enter deeper.
- Another option is that the person on top turns around and sits with their back to the face, possibly leaning on the hands or knees of the person below. This can also be a comfortable position for someone who is pregnant and on top.
Sitting making love, how do you do that?
In the position where you make love while sitting, the person with the penis or strap-on is on the knees, cross-legged or on the edge of the bed. The other is sitting on your lap, with your faces facing each other. The legs of the person sitting on top are next to the body of the other person and this person is leaning on the hands. This position offers the possibility of both anal and vaginal penetration, depending on your preferences.
Variations
- There are also positions that are suitable when you are in a (wheel) chair.
- One person with a penis or strap-on sits on a chair, while the other person puts his/her legs on the chair or keeps them on the floor. Next, the person on top turns around with their back to the person in the chair.
Spoon spoon, how do you do that?
In the spoon-spoon position, both partners lie on their sides with their faces facing the same direction. The one with a strap-on or penis is behind the other. This position offers the possibility of both anal and vaginal penetration, depending on your preference. It is an intimate and comfortable position where you lie close to each other.
Tips for increasing excitement
- Don't forget to stimulate the clitoris
- Pay attention to the nipples, both with yourself and with the other person
- Discuss together which rhythm you like
- Be friendly and open in your approach so that both of you can enjoy the experience.
Pegging, how do you do that?
Pegging is a sexual act in which someone uses a strap-on (strap-on dildo or vibrator) to penetrate the other anally, without using a penis.
Here are some tips to make your pegging experience as enjoyable as possible:
- Make sure you use enough lubricant to avoid any discomfort or pain.
- Avoid touching the vagina with the strap-on after pegging to reduce the risk of bacterial infections.
We hope these tips help you have a safe and enjoyable pegging experience. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to a professional or a trusted friend.
Prostate massage, how do you do it?
A prostate massage is a technique in which the prostate, a walnut-shaped gland with many nerve endings, is stimulated. This is located about 5 centimeters inside a man's anus and can be massaged using a finger or a special prostate toy.
Stimulation tips
If you're looking for ways to stimulate your partner, it's important to start slowly and build up speed gradually. At the same time, try to stimulate the penis to increase pleasure. Keep your fingernail short and use plenty of saliva or lube to make the experience smoother and more comfortable. Remember to communicate openly and transparently with your partner about what works and what doesn't work for both of you.
69, How do you do that?
One way to treat each other orally at the same time is to adopt the 69 position. One person hangs above the face of the other, so that both genitals can be stimulated at the same time. It's an intimate and exciting way to pleasure each other.
